TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH CENTER
The Arizona Heart Foundation Translational Research Center (TRC) bridges the past, present, and future of cardiovascular care by providing a home to innovative research, clinical studies, and the development of new medical devices and techniques. The TRC also provides resources for continuing medical education, hands-on workshops and scientific symposia. Here, physicians and researchers are hard at work on the forefront of cardiovascular medicine. Using the TRC’s preclinical surgical suites, physicians and corporations alike are able to validate their ideas at a single location.
A landmark on our campus, the Translational Research Bridge links the TRC to the Arizona Heart Hospital, an award-winning hospital dedicated to the treatment of cardiovascular disease. The Translational Research Bridge provides a physical and symbolic link between scientific research and the ultimate goal of applying these findings to clinical care.
Preclinical Laboratory
The cornerstone of the TRC is the preclinical laboratory, which provides hands on access for testing, training, and verification of educational technology. This 10,000 sq ft facility boasts of the latest in medical equipment and support for virtually any type of medical device testing and education. In addition, the TRC has hands-on educational programs for physicians and corporate technical staff wanting to gain a better understanding of new medical technology and its application to patient care.
Preclinical Research
The TRC is licensed to conduct animal, cadaver, and/or bench-top testing. Currently, we are partnering with companies and health care organizations looking to advance their research and development efforts.
Workshops
At the TRC, organizations can design an exclusive, customized event that meets their specific objectives, be it to showcase new and emerging technology, gather immediate physician feedback on product pipelines, and/or to conduct hands-on training for new product introductions.
