Thank You Dr. Paul Riesenman

We wanted to thank Dr. Paul Riesenman for speaking to our students recently. Dr. Riesenman is a vascular surgeon at Banner Heart Hospital.

He spoke to the students about hemodialysis access fistulas and grafts, including the rational, mechanisms of renal failure/access complication, common connections, graft configurations, duplex protocol, evaluation of flow volume, evaluation for steal syndrome, B-mode/color flow/Doppler interpretation and medical/surgical treatment options.

He also shared his personal expertise with the students in regards to hemodialysis access duplex tips and tricks.
